Yes — it folds easily and fits in the back seat of most standard cars. Take it with you to doctor appointments, therapy, and family visits.
The step-by-step process is straightforward and safe for one caregiver. Watch our complete walkthrough video below.
Yes. The patient stays seated and fully supported throughout. No lifting, hoisting, or risk of falling.
Absolutely. Achairgo eliminates the need to lift, pull, or strain in awkward positions. The electric motor does all the work. Many caregivers report immediate relief from back pain after the very first use.
It is not a traditional wheelchair, but it can transport a person around on hard floor surfaces. It was designed primarily to make getting in and out of a wheelchair much easier.
The patient needs to be able to sit upright on their own when seated. They do not need to stand, walk, or bear weight on their legs.
The chair does not roll well on carpet. It is designed for hard floor surfaces only — hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl.
Very minimal. Only the 4 wheels need attaching — no tools required. Under 10 minutes total.

"So very happy with product and communication with Achairgo. The electric transfer chair plus arrived exactly as promised. Minor set up of wheels took less than 5 minutes. The product delivers exactly as described. After much research on electric transfer chairs, I choose Achairgo for product description and the amazing patience shown to my many questions via email. I will recommend this chair and company to anyone. You won't be disappointed."
"Freedom at last. My wife who has MS can't move her legs and mostly hangs out in bed. Riding in a car was out of the question until now. I have a 2026 Subaru Forester, and it works quickly and smoothly with transfers in AND out of the car. Making the trip to the car was challenging because the wheels are too small to go over bumps, even small ones. I ordered the 4" wheels and we'll see if there are improvements. We haven't made it to the couch just yet but I'm sure it will be great. I highly recommend this product but if you have a gravel driveway, it will never make it. Also I purchased 2 ADA ramps (inside and out) to smooth out the trip to the car. One last note, you must position the seat far enough back to hit the inside on the car seat rim, elsewise, the person will slip forward and end up with the seat of the Achirgo on their back instead of their bottoms. If the unit could extend the arms 6", it would be perfect."
"My husband has ALS, and he fell twice before I started using this transfer lift with him. It's a pretty easy lift to use once to learn how, and I've been able to safely get him out of bed and into his wheelchair and back into bed with out any more falls. I'm so grateful for this lift! We also have a Hoyer lift which we will eventually have to use, but I much prefer using this transfer lift, and I will use it as long as I can."
"We learned about this kind of equipment while my husband was in the hospital for a ACL knee. Due to this device we were able to bring him home for his recovery. He was instructed not to put weight on the surgery side for 6-8 weeks and we were worried about how he would transfer from bed to commode and to his chair. Medicare covered a Hoyer lift but that proved to be very cumbersome. I highly recommend this option instead. It has saved our backs and transferred my husband safely throughout the house."
"Works great but a little difficult getting the pad under my mother while she is sitting on the edge of the bed getting ready to use it."
"Very cool product that has giving me great peace of mind. It works great for getting me out of my hospital bed and transferring me to my scooter or my wheelchair. So glad to have picked the exact one I needed. Bonus: No assembly required, saving $200 in professional assembly fees."
"My dad is heavier set and the 330 weight capacity has worked great for him. We have been using the plus+ model for several months now, and it has held up incredibly well."
"No Assembly Required. It all works very well. We had a hydraulic lift previously and this is sooo much better and easier to use. The battery lasts for a long time-- We are using it 3-5 times a day, at least a week! I have worked in the nursing industry and this was of the same quality as I have worked with in the past. A wise investment for us."
"I watch a youtube video for setup and it works so well. after setup, lift feels like hospital gear. my husband is 315 pounds, transfer from bed to commode now takes 3 minutes instead of 15"
"This lift is exactly what I was looking for to transfer my husband who has PSP from the couch to his wheelchair. It arrived quickly and was already charged and ready to use. Just had to add casters. At first I thought the nuts were missing to attach the casters, but I found them stuck inside the rubber nut caps."
